Radio PVS was born out of a love for radio broadcasting and the human curation of music.
In early 2021, in the midst of the pandemic, three erstwhile radio tragics found themselves without a home on the dial. A couple of them had been playing around with radio automation systems and internet broadcasting, so why not and make their own damn station? Obviously, three people can't be on air 24/7, so much of the PVS broadcast is carefully curated music automation. Every song that goes to air has a story. Decades of presenting and collecting, alongside a compulsion to find new (or old) and exciting music, makes up the foundation of the PVS listening experience. It might not always be your type of music, but even when it's not, it's going to be a great bloody example of whatever it is. With this in mind we hope we can open people up to new sounds they might not have sought out themselves, and keep passing that music onto others.

A long time ago, on a radio broadcast far, far away ....
DON'T PANIC!
You're traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound, but of the mind ....
Dabbling in radio since the early 2000's at RRR and NWFM, Matt built Radio PVS to give some airtime to lesser heard tunes. Think of the automation system as a journey into his musical past and present, for better or for worse. Catch him dropping tunes all over the North West Coast and Sideways Soul each week.
Frank has been in the radio game since 1994 and a regular visitor to the Tamworth Country Music Festival where he hosted a daily program on Festival FM - the official radio voice of the Tamworth festival.
Frank is also a committee member of the Country Music Guild of Australasia.
Full time horticulturist, part time music lover, big time Blues supporter. Fitzy loves nothing more than to spend his time digging through great music to bring you every Saturday night. You might also find him holding up the fences at the home or away Sunshine FC match of a weekend.
A man dripping with knowledge and a thirst for even more (and a Kracken and coke sometimes), Rohan has been on air in some form or another since the late 90's and can be heard every other week day on PVS, chatting with some amazing people.
aka JChameleon is a stalwart on the Toronto smooth music scene, as well as being a music lecturer, guitarist in the Chameleon Project and Whiskey Sour enjoyer.
You can also catch him DJing live around Toronto and presenting the Yacht Rock Rubdown Program on YR Discord.
Not much is known about this mysterious man/cat. Some say he arrived with the first release of Doom in the early '93, others are certain they saw him at Chicago's first ever gig in the late 60's. Whatever the case may be, we're happy to have him on board.
aka Andrew Genus is a performing songwriter, recording artist, writer, activist, and co-host of The Leftscape podcast from New Jersey, USA. They serve up new wave, punk, and post-punk as the host of Saved By Zero here on Radio PVS. File under: music nerd, sex geek, introvert who loves a good party.
We're always looking for people to spin some tunes on air. If you've got a tragic obsession with music and don't mind talking about it, hit us up with the a message.
